Behind the brand:
Charlotte Olympia’s glamorous shoes have been lusted after by women since Charlotte Dellal launched her London-based shoe brand in 2008, but little mini-me’s are catered for now too, with the 2013 introduction of Incy, the designer’s characterful shoe range for girls and boys. Inspired by the mainline collection, the miniature versions are just as luxurious, so expect quality calfskin, satin and pony skin with a good dose of glitter for good measure.
Why we love it…
Unless you’ve been castaway for the last few years you can’t have missed the abundance of celebrity appearances made by the whimsical Charlotte Olympia Kitty flats. Forget spotting Alexa Chung, Lena Dunham, SJP and Katy Perry in them, the cut-down Incy versions have proven just as popular with celebrity toddlers Harper Beckham, Blue Ivy Carter and even Charlotte’s own little boy. Children’s fashion is often criticised for being too adult and often risqué, so it’s refreshing to see incredibly cute, traditional styles given the Charlotte Olympia update, such as the glittering, ribbon-tied Mary-Janes. Often overlooked, boys haven’t been forgotten this time (possibly because Charlotte has two of her own) and can choose cool sneakers or high tops.
