Behind the brand:
French fashion house, Kenzo, was founded in 1970 by Japanese designer Kenzo Takada. His luxury boutique in Paris had a jungle-inspired interior, a look that was carried through his East-meets-West collections and is still the label’s signature now. The duo behind Opening Ceremony are the latest to take over the creative helm and since then Rihanna, Zooey Deschanel and Lorde have all been spotted in the iconic Kenzo tiger T-Shirt. The kids’ collection was launched in the mid-eighties and proves to be as consistently in demand as the adult ranges.
Why we love it…
One of the coolest children’s labels round, it’s slightly humorous but not silly. The collection of miniature must-haves is for kids with a relaxed sense of style and who want to stand out without being the centre of attention. Embroidered tiger and printed eye sweatshirts are staples of the collection, mixed with bold zig-zags and modern colours, it has touches of contemporary culture and vintage spirit.
