About the brand:
Like many designers featured on this site Julia Jones started up her own company selling hair bows, clips and headbands after becoming exasperated by what she couldn’t find ie hair accessories for her daughter in muted shades and textures. So, in 2011 she started retailing an alternative to all those existing brightly coloured bows in the form of Verity Jones (named after her daughter). Each bow is handmade using quality material and available in a range of sizes from small right up to XL so can be worn by babies, toddlers and school age little ladies. The brand has recently branched into ribbed tights with colours such as antique blue and raspberry rose.

Why we love it…
The pinks in Verity Jones hair accessories collections aren’t the usual over-bright bubble gum pink in-your-face shades for little girls that you seem to get everywhere these days. Rather, they are a much more subtle and elegant, peach blossom or creamy pink. The colours and styles of the hair accessories are updated seasonally which ensures they remain contemporary. A big favourite with mums and daughters alike is the Pom Pom Alice band. – a quirky take on the traditional girl’s hair band which looks equally as good with a party dress or denim jacket. A big selling point with this brand is its affordability compared with similar brands (and which don’t have the same quality).
