Recipe: Coconut Banana Bites

These have to be the prettiest and most delicious bananas your little one will ever eat. They’re a great early food for little babes and best of all they are a cinch to make. If your little one isn’t a fan of lime, try making theirs with orange or even lemon juice instead.

Serves: 2 Prep time: 2 mins

Ingredients:
1 banana
A quarter cup desiccated coconut
1 small lime, juiced

Method:
Step 1:
Gather 3 small plates. On one of the plates place the juice of the lime. Place the coconut on another and the remaining plate will be used to place the rolled bananas.

Step 2:
Cut the banana into bite-sized pieces.

Step 3:
Dip the banana pieces into the lime juice and then roll them in the coconut. Place on the remaining plate to serve.

Serving suggestion:
Serve these tasty treats as they are or with a few spoonsful of yoghurt on the side for a healthy dessert.

Stacey Clare – A Healthy Mum’s Nutritional Tip:
Bananas are a great early food to include in your little one’s diet. They’re naturally sweet and are fairly easy to digest.
