About the brand:
Creative duo Leanne and Ruth know a thing or two about fashion, having originally met when they were both working for an online fashion store. Fast-forward to 2013 and after having children of their own – Tobias and Arlo (the bear) – the pair were looking for something unique in the kidswear market that wasn’t pink or blue. “It was a post maternity leave water cooler conversation (yes, they really do happen) that triggered the idea for Tobias & the Bear – great printed leggings, with unique designs created by us, for boys, or tomboys (or for any mum who wanted a break from the sea of pink out there). Our hunt for just this had failed time and again and our babies were at risk of having to wear styles we felt were suited for men more than boys. That was in the autumn of 2013 and just 10 months later, we were up and running with our first four designs,” say the creative duo.

Why we love it:
They cater for mums who don’t want to dress their girls in bows and frills or boys in pastel blue. “The collection has a real unisex handwriting. We’re not about seasons. We believe in building a large collection of incredible styles and prints which we add to regularly and everything we do is 100% made in the UK – that’s really important to us. Leggings are our love.” The prints are full of personality and include a range of animals (foxes, bears, bunnies, penguins, elephants and more) and the look is all about fun and practicality. The talented duo couldn’t have created a more covetable clothing line.
