As the year comes to a close, I’m starting to get a tad emotional about packing up our home. So many memories made. So many laughs. Tears. Emotions. This room was where both my husband and I started our businesses, only it looked nothing like this...
It’s where we both started from scratch. When he moved to an office, I moved into this room and for years, I ran The Grace Tales from here. It’s where I’d work late into the night as I breastfed my girls. After I stopped co-sleeping, it’s where Lottie slept for the first year of her life (second child – didn’t quite get the same nursery her sister did). Now, those days are behind us. It’s no longer a home office. There are no more cots. And it’s the one space in our house which doesn’t have any plastic junk in it (sorry girls – this one is mine). On the site this week, I share my favourite things in this room, from @maisonbalzac candles, piles of GRACE MOTHERS books which make me smile, a _laura_jones_ painting and new(ish) @cocorepublic sofa and occasional chairs (I had to obviously stop the girls about 6,367 times from pegging the beachball cushions all over the house). We might be moving, but I’ll remember this room forever and all the life-defining moments that happened here.
