Based in the nature-filled Scottish Highlands, homeware designer and curator Petra Palumbo’s approach to design is first and foremost to tread lightly on the earth.
Sustainability is at the heart of the brand, with everything made in the UK using only recyclable materials, but it is her exquisite handmade glassware – with painterly floral motifs that have really captured fashion hearts. Her collection of pretty carafes and tumblers was part of Liberty’s Floribunda collection highlighting the hottest names in homeware.
Her beautifully imagined table settings – for children and for entertaining – are also a must-see (check out her collaboration with Christie’s where she styled five different vignettes in the Duke Street Gallery).
Last year, she also opened a new store in the Old Bank of Scotland building in Beauly outside of Inverness where you will find a mix of her carefully curated collection of the old and new. It is worth a trip to the Scotish Highlands alone.
