The New Year always gives us pause to reflect, but we think there is no time like the present to inspire your best self – new decade or not. That is why we have rounded up some of the best upcoming classes to nourish, nurture and bring all-round mama wellness.
Petersham Nurseries
At the beautiful horticulture havens in either Richmond or Covent Garden there are some glorious classes to enjoy this month.
Macarons
Top of our list is a delicious Macaron Workshop set in the working kitchen of the Covent Garden nursery. Enjoy a hands-on tutorial with the nursery’s pastry chef and take home with a box of your very own macarons to enjoy. (Until April 7).
Marbling
Marbling is becoming quite the craft-to-know of late and now you can master this wonderful art of capturing floating colour on paper with marbling experts Inq. You can create your own beautiful shade, as well as feasting on a delicious seasonal lunch in the Richmond tearoom. (Mar 17).
Honey
Why not enjoy a lovely mother-and-daughter day and learn how raw honey can be used for wellbeing and beauty with natural skincare brand Bee Potion. Founder Katharine O’Brien will guide you through giving a hand reflexology treatment, as well as how to blend natural vitamin rich ingredients to create your own at-home spa products. (Mar 20).
Daylesford Organic
You can beat the winter blues at one of our favourite sources of wellness in London and around.
Gut Health and Fermenting
With increasing emphasis on the importance of balancing our gut microbiome, the gut health and fermenting wellness workshop in Daylesford Notting Hill is a must. Led by their resident nutritionist and wellness expert, Rhaya Jordan, you will learn about nature’s best probiotics, as well as creating delicious seasonal soups, broth ferments and superfoods. (Mar 3).
Embroidery
If, like us, you love anything monogrammed, why not try the beginners’ embroidery workshop with Marigold The Maker at the Marylebone Farmshop. You will learn how to master the art of monogramming as well as how to transfer sketches to fabric. (Feb 20).
Tulips
A great idea for Mother’s Day at the Cotswolds Farmshop is the tulip masterclass with one of our favourite florists, Willow Crossley. The class includes a guided trip to the organic cutting garden, explores how to care for cut flowers and guests will take home a beautiful arrangement. (Mar 19).
