Paris, Milan, London, New York… Copenhagen?
Yes, that’s what the street-style-set are showing us and quite frankly, we are seriously obsessed. There’s never been a better time to get inspired by Scandi-style influencers than now, with a mixture of stylists, jewellery designers, mums, journalists, bloggers and beyond showing us how to dress in ways we would never expect. Florals with sneakers, knits with tailoring, denim with everything… this is undoubtedly the biggest and best wardrobe inspiration we’ve had in a long time. With a little (OK, a LOT) of Instagram stalking, we’ve narrowed down the 5 best Scandinavian street style stars to take inspiration from when it comes to creating a fresh take on both high street and designer trends. Someone say ka-ching? Editor: Marisa Remond | Holding image: Pernille Teisbæk. To shop her new book Dress Scandinavian, click here.
Pernille Teisbæk
She’s a fashion director, influencer, stylist, author, entrepreneur and mum, and she also happens to be the creme de la creme of Scandi style (that goes for fashion and interiors). If you haven’t already stalked Pernille Teisbæk’s Instagram feed, down the rabbit hole you go… @pernilleteisbaek
Celine Aagard
Minimal yet statement making, tailored yet distinctly feminine – Celine Aagard’s personal style is a lesson in restraint, with an unmistakable unique edge that has us racing out to buy furry sandals and floor sweeping trench coats immediately. So. Good. Images: @celineaagaard
Elina Olofsson
We just had to Google how to say “so cute” in Swedish, because that’s exactly what Stockholm-based blogger and influencer Elina Olofsson is – så söt! You won’t find a better advocate for mixing chain store brands with a touch of high-end. Images: @eliinaolofsson
Helle Vestergaard Poulsen
If you didn’t already have an unhealthy obsession with fine gold jewellery, you certainly will after getting acquainted with Anni Lu designer Helle Vestergaard Poulsen. While you don’t see much of her face, what you do see from Helle’s beautiful Instagram feed is a smorgasbord of Isabel Marant, creative Tumblr images and perfectly styled outfits matched with delicate jewellery. In a word, heaven. Images: @hellevp
Hege Aurelie Badendyck
Hege Aurelie Badendyck started an online magazine titled Cool Girl, and that pretty much sums her up. With a penchant for accessorising (her headscarves and handbags are next-level), we’ve never seen an influencer wear label-of-the-moment Ganni quite as well. Images: @hegeaurelie
