Whether you’re talking blush rose or bright magenta, there’s no denying that pink is the girliest colour of them all...
But do you need to be a girly girl to pull off pink? Not at all. Add a splash of denim and suddenly it looks far more grown-up than girly. Our editor Georgie Abay spent an hour (ok, perhaps more) scrolling through one of her favourite online retailers YOOX the other week to find her favourite pink and denim picks of the season. They’ve got every brand imaginable available from Prada to MSGN to Dolce & Gabbana to Frame Denim. Be warned, you’ll easily while away an entire evening perusing their store. From casual cool to relaxed glamour, they’ve got you covered. We quizzed her on how to wear this trend and the best brands to buy… Yoox is offering our readers a special 20% discount off their entire range! Use the code THEGRACETALES20 on checkout. “ My new go-to look? A denim skirt, white sneakers and a pop of pink up top ”

Let’s talk trends. What are loving for spring?
Denim worn with pink. Soft, colourful and uplifting, it’s the perfect spring look.
What’s a foolproof way to wear a denim skirt like this one?
For the past few years, my go-to look has been a denim skirt (or jeans) teamed with a shirt. It’s a chic, classic look that never dates (and it’s all machine washable so perfect for when I’m running around after my children). I’ll also often wear my denim skirts with white sneakers. I also love this Vanessa Scott blouse.
Where in the world would you want to go wearing this skirt?
Given I have two toddlers, we’re not exactly venturing off the beaten path at the moment. I’d love to go to Mexico or South America, but we’re a few years off a big trip like that. In an ideal world, I’d hop on a plane to Bali tomorrow. Anywhere warm and summery.
What are your favourite denim brands?
I’ve loved Current/Elliott for years – I especially love this ripped denim skirt. Of late, I’ve also been wearing a lot of Frame Denim. Their jeans are super flattering. You can see my edit below.
Can you wear pink without looking too girly?
Definitely! While I’ll openly admit to being a very girly girl, I like to tone down pink with something such as a ripped denim skirt. It toughens up a pink top and makes it look a little less feminine – I probably wouldn’t ever wear head-to-toe pink. In association with YOOX
